Paper jams are the most common service call we receive. The good news: most have a simple cause.
- Damp or curled paper – store reams flat in a dry place
- Overfilled tray – stay below the max line
- Guides not set to the paper size
- Wrong paper type in the driver (labels, heavy paper)
- Worn pickup or separation rollers – the most common cause after 100,000 pages
- Small pieces of torn paper left inside after a previous jam
If jams continue from the same tray, book a visit – a roller kit costs far less than the time your team loses.
